Amber Savage

Managing Director

Amber is an experienced, driven and confident HR professional, who uses a pragmatic approach to support businesses with their HR challenges and develops innovative solutions that effectively balance the commercial reality of running a business.

Delivering end to end HR business partner expertise to geographically dispersed workforces in health, community services, manufacturing, FMCG and professional services, Amber has extensive operational and strategic HR experience built over the past 13 years. Amber specialises in supporting organisations to lead organisational change, particularly the implementation of HR and Payroll systems and organisational restructures.

Amber lives in Brisbane with her partner and two kids and loves hiking, travel and a good Wilbur Smith book.

Ross Wakeford

Industrial Relations Lead

Ross is an employment and industrial relations specialist with experience working at a top-tier Australian law firm and as an employment relations legal counsel for an ASX-listed financial services company.

Ross has broad experience across a range of complex and varied employment and industrial relations matters including complex termination, Fair Work Commission, workers’ compensation, and anti-discrimination matters, as well as significant union and workplace governance and strategic portfolio management experience. With a strong client focus, Ross has a keen interest in bringing his background and expertise to the small to medium sized business market in an accessible and fit-for-purpose way.

Ross is a member of the Queensland Law Society and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology, a Bachelor of Business from the University of Queensland, and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Distinction) from the Australian College of Law. Ross has been admitted to practice law in both the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia (although his role at Nellers is a non-legal consulting role).

Ross lives in Brisbane with his (adorable) miniature schnauzer Winston, and is an avid rugby union and cricket fan.

Kathy Whiting

Senior HR Consultant

Kathy is a Senior HR leader with extensive experience in all aspect of HR across a range of industries including NFP, Health, Finance, IT, Scientific Testing, Consulting and FMCG. She is commercially focussed, with strong financial acumen and experience in leading Corporate Services teams in SME’s.

Specialist capabilities include developing and executing HR and business strategies and solutions, organisational development and design, recruitment, coaching, change and project management, performance management and employee relations.

Kathy is a result-oriented professional, with a practical and friendly approach, is client focussed and has a record of high achievement. Holding Masters level tertiary qualifications in HR and Business and a professional member of the Australian HR Institute for many years, Kathy is well qualified in HR to support organisations.

Kathy lives in Inner-City Brisbane with her family and their very old dog (Theo) and loves travel, walking by the river and keeping active at the gym.

Tennille Parry

Senior HR Consultant

Tennille is an experienced HR professional, having worked for over twenty years in Human Resources leading large teams and solutions across Asia Pacific and Europe. Tennille has partnered with clients across multiple industries including Technology, Banking, Pharmaceutical and Energy to deliver on projects in Learning and Development, Recruitment, Talent Management, Outsourcing and Mergers & Acquisitions as well as managing day to day HR operations.

Having lived and worked in Singapore, Australia, Ireland, the UK and the Czech Republic, Tennille brings vast experience in working in diverse teams and a passion to drive inclusive teams through leadership.

Tennille holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a certification in HR from AHRI, is an accredited mental health first aider, a trained Executive Coach, certified in The Leadership Circle Profile assessment and a certified Prince 2 Project Manager.

Tennille lives in Brisbane with her husband and two kids and loves travel, snowboarding and has a newly found love of golf.

Jennifer McLeod

HR Consultant

Jennifer is a pragmatic and driven HR and Business Change professional with global experience spanning professional services, retail and not for profit. Jennifer has partnered with business across Australia, the US, Europe and the UK and brings a value add approach to her work, placing an emphasis on understanding how HR can benefit and support teams and businesses. Jennifer has experience delivering outcomes across the employee lifecycle and successfully supporting teams to adopt and embed large-scale, complex changes, particularly in heavily regulated sectors.

Jennifer holds a Bachelors in Law and Social Sciences and a Masters in Business and is an experienced return to work coordinator with a background in workplace health and safety.

Jennifer has recently moved back to Brisbane from London and spends her time with her family and exploring Brisbane.

Rosie Galloway

HR Consultant

Having worked across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Australia, Rosie's human resources journey has equipped her with a well-rounded and extensive generalist knowledge, which she combines with her training, development, and management expertise.

Rosie's passion for people shines through in her commitment to crafting fair, safe, and supportive working environments. She is resolute in her dedication to upholding ethical and legal standards while championing the well-being of every team member. She understands that the employee lifecycle is not a one-size-fits-all approach and strives to tailor it to align with each organisation's unique goals. She focuses on compliance, conflict management, training and development, coaching managers, and cultivating a positive and memorable employee experience.

Rosie holds a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, is a Professional MAHRI member, and is an accredited mental health first aider.

Rosie lives in Brisbane and loves reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Rebecca Portnoff McNaught

HR Advisor

Bec is a dedicated and passionate HR professional known for a pragmatic and empathetic coaching style and solutions-focused mindset. Bec is committed to creating a strong sense of workplace pride and wellbeing that benefits employees and therefore organisations through decreased turnover and absenteeism, alongside increased engagement, productivity, and retention.

Bec has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management with a special focus on workplace health and safety. With previous experience across warehousing, hospitality, medical and non-profit sectors, Bec is a versatile generalist adept at managing day to day HR operations. Bec thrives in supporting teams and meeting client needs and has special interest and experience across various areas including change management, psychosocial safety, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, training, and development.

Bec is a solo mother of two small boys, in her spare time she likes to read, travel, eat good food and speak bad Swedish.

Daniel (Dan) Neller

Operations & IT Manager

Dan is a highly experienced operational manager with a passion for operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Drawing on his IT experience, he is our go to guy for any tricky IT questions throughout software implementations. Predominately, Dan works behind the scenes in helping Nellers HR Consulting to create a great client experience.

Dan lives in Brisbane with his fiancée, two kids and two dogs (Audrey - the bossy, red miniature dachshund and Tilley - the Darwin rescue corgi cross cattle dog who is everyone's bestfriend). He loves anything outdoors and enjoys surfing, motorcross and flying helicopters.
